About

A New York–based painter, Deborah earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in Manhattan. Her creative inspiration stems from her experiences on Martha’s Vineyard and throughout coastal New England.
As an expressionist, Deborah's work is distinguished by its versatility and intuitive mastery of color and light, capturing atmospheric landscapes imbued with mysterious, compelling textures. She currently lives in Nyack, New York, and creates her art at the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center.

"I believe the universe around us can be viewed through subtle and abstract images. The sea can never really be captured, merely admired. I can only attempt to create an interpretation of its breadth by stripping down its physical world to the most basic elements of color, light and texture."  — D.M.
